O lord! They adore you and
come to Thirupparankundram,
Thirumāl who wears a garland made with basil blooming on the earth, has great wealth and a bird
on his flag,

Brahman who is seated on his divine lotus, and the
twelve Āthityas who appeared from him who dispel darkness in the world,
Aswin twins who are divine

Vasus, the Eight of perfect learning
Rudras, eleven of them after the lord of Āthirai,
the eight guardian deities of the cardinal points,
Asurars, celestials and all others, and
sages who are experts in the desirable Vēdās.
Your mountain resembles the Himalayas!
O Lord who is first among gods! The full springs filled by waterfalls in your mountain, are like the
pond with lotus flowers bright like lightning, with clusters of flowers not dropped, where you were born.
On hearing monsoon’s rain clouds sound like your trumpeting elephant, roosters crow and greatly rutting elephants trumpet, their sounds alternating again and

The Ma'bar Sultanate, also known as the Madurai Sultanate, was a short lived kingdom based in the city of Madurai in modern-day Tamil Nadu, India.

The sultanate was proclaimed in 1335 in Madurai led by Jalaluddin Ahsan Khan, a native of Kaithal in North India, declared his independence from the Sultanate of Delhi....Thuglak.

Ahsan Khan and his descendants ruled the Madurai Sultanate and surrounding territories until 1378 when the last sultan, Ala-ud-Din Sikandar Shah was killed in the battle of Madurai by Kumara Kampana and his forces were defeated by Vijayanagara forces and the Vijayanagara Empire conquered the Sultanate..
During this short span of 43 years, the Sultanate had eight different rulers

From contemporary historical accounts, the rulers of Madurai Sultanate come across as tyrants and persecutors of Hindus. Both Ibn Batutta's and Gangadevi's accounts contain graphic descriptions of atrocities committed by the Sultans on the Hindu population.
Ibn Batuta was actually a relative of these sultans and an ardent jehadist. Even he was revolted by the happenings.
